Warehouse Sale - Former Elusive Image/Graphicus Stock

Just a quick post about the warehouse sale that Glenda is organising for Fri 4th & Sat 5th March.

This is taken straight from her blog Artful Blogging

'So it’s at Unit 5A Harmire Enterprise Park, Barnard Castle Friday 4th and Saturday 5th March, 10am – 4pm both days. Click here for directions. Unit 5C is Longmann Plastics so if you see their sign, you’re in the right place. There’s usually lots of free parking and it’s all on the level for anyone using a wheelchair.

For those who have been to Graphicus before, it is literally just around the corner. You turn right just opposite Carrosserie Company, (yards before the left turn into the old place), then take the first left (opposite Royal Mail sorting office) and you’ll see a run of units on your left, labelled 5A to 5E. They’re red brick buildings with burgundy paintwork.

The sale will be in Unit 5A, and be warned – it will be chilly. There’s no heating in there, so wrap up warm.

We don’t have as many tables as we used to, so it will be a bit of a rummage sale as we will have things in boxes and crates. Items will be split into products that we are completely discontinuing and products that we will be continuing to stock, with huge discounts off the discontinued lines. They include

* Sizzix
* Cuttlebug
* Cricut
* Lots of paper and card – both 12×12 and A4
* Artylicious Italy and Simple elegance paper
* Lumiere
* Shimmerz
* Ecoline
* Claudine Hellmuth
* Certain sizes of Stampbord
* Claybord inks
* Tattered Angels albums
* Rub-ons
* Crop-a-Diles
* Ribbons
* Tags
* Flowers
* Brads, buttons, etc
* Crackle paint
* Zutter wires
* Zutter Book covers and pages
* Zutter Display-it-All
* and lots more that I can’t think of right now.

The other important point is that we still don’t have credit card processing so this is a CASH only sale.'

Today Special Value!

I couldn't help myself honest - I found myself picking up the phone and ordering QVC's Todays Special Value. I only turned it on the other evening to watch Lord Tim and see what he was demonstrating. When I saw the new mini stamps included in the package I just knew they were destined to be purchased with all speed.

Anyway they have arrived and I have spent a very happy evening playing with the stamps. The small size is perfect for stamping direct onto ATCs and I love using them. This is one of the ATCs I have finished and I want to enter it into Mejens Design Team Challenge ATCs, Gingersnap Creations Challenge Jewel Colours and Rainbow Lady's Challenge Shabby Chic. The background is polished stone technique made on glossy card with alcohol inks, blending solution and gold metal fixative - it has a lovely gold ripple that unfortunately doesn't show up in the photo.

Thanks for looking and I'll be back with more over the weekend.

Bargin Time at Hobbycraft!

I’m sorry I haven’t posted over the weekend – I’ve had a busy weekend you know how it is when you work full time weekend is the only time for shopping and house cleaning - as much as I hate house work I do have to devote some time to doing it. So nothing new to show you.

I hate this time of year – spring cleaning is a major chore that has to be done – don’t windows look really grubby when the sunshine hits the glass not made any better in our house by Max the cat who paws all over the bottom of them when he wants to be let in! We cleared out the kitchen cupboards and OMG some of the stuff was so out of date I’m just too ashamed to tell you. But anyway the kitchen fairly gleams now and there is loads of room in my units

I did take time out on Saturday to do some essential shopping at Hobbycraft Preston, Bazzer was going to look at a new motorbike (in his dreams) at a bike shop in Chorley so he dropped me off for an hour. Did I get a bargain - a box set of 12 Promaker Pens plus an outliner for half price £6.99 – Yes HALF PRICE (it is reduced in the Promaker store but it was still £17.40) and a box set of 12 Aqua Markers for £6.99 (again it’s only reduced to £18.40 in the Letraset store). I couldn’t believe my luck, I wanted to try the Aqua Markers when they first came out but couldn’t justify the outlay but at this price it was too good to miss. I also found a set of Perfect Pearls at half price of £6.99 it should have been £13.98 – I just love perfect pearls and I couldn’t resist them. Now I just need to find some time to play in the craft room.

Anybody got a spare couple of hours they can let me have. Lol

British Heart Foundation 50th Anniversary

I have just posted a candy from Annie's Place in my sidebar - she is asking us all to raise awareness of the British Heart Foundation. Ann lost her husband to heart disease 20 years ago and my husband had a triple bypass 3 years ago so I have some experience of the good work the BHF do. So if you are passing a British Heart Foundation shop pop in or if you see a collecting can add a little donation. It's their 50th anniversary.

I have also been playing in the craft room and have made the following card using my trusty brayer once again, the Tree stamp is by Art Impressions . I want to enter this in to Less is More One Layer Challenge
and Creative Inspirations Paint KISS and Little Claire's Designs 1st Challenge Anything Goes

Happy Valentines' Day - Goody Bag

A bit late in the day but better late than never. I hope everyone got flowers, chocolates and a card - well at the very least a card:-) Bazzer doesn't usually do cards but he caught me last night making him a Valentine Goody Bag that I was going to put on his pillow before I went to work this morning. When I came home from work today there was a card and a lovely bunch of flowers waiting for me from 'a secret admirer' - I didn't have to look too far to guess who. lol

These are a couple of photos of the 'Valentine Goody Bag' that I made it was very simple I used my MS Heart punch for the bag top and then added 3 hearts I cut out each a smaller than the first and layered them on each other, finally I hand wrote with love using a white gel pen. I love the CAS look - it suits my style.

I would like to enter this in Our Creative Corner Challenge and also Paperworks Co.blog

Another Little Surprise this Weekend

Hope you have had a good weekend, I have had a bit of a hectic weekend - on Saturday we went across to Cardcraft Plus at Preston as they had a demo day. It was really busy and there was Stef and Nancy from Create and Craft demonstrating but I was really taken with the Cat Stamps that Ann Marie was showingg - in fact I was so taken that I just had to buy some. LOL When we got home the postie had been and brought me another little surprise that I had forgotten about - a lovely little package of blog candy that I won ages ago from the Prairie Fairy over in Canada. There is some fab paper, some really cute little doilies and some lovely shiny glitter stars Thank you so much Roberta X

I finally managed to get into the craft room this afternoon and I managed to get a couple of ATC's finished. I used another of my TH embossing folders to create the background and then ran the brayer gently over the top to add a little colour. Then stamped the fairy, coloured, glittered and attached with foam squares. I hand-wrote the words and stuck onto the ATC.

This ATC was a little different the background was polished stone technique, the map was stamped onto the front of sticky backed acetate and I used perfect pearls onto the sticky side which doesn't really show on the photo but it is a lovely blue-gold colour.

Mr Postman Called today.

I had a great surprise in the post today - the blog candy I won from Lisa at Scrapping with Lisa arrived. It is super the Scorepal is amazing and the Magnolia stamps are fantastic, Lisa even included a mini Tilda as a little extra surprise. Ain't I the lucky one or what:-))

I just had to tell someone or I might burst. Now the bad news.

After all that good news this morning the bad news is I went to slimming tonight and I had put 2lbs on :-( I was really mystfied as I hadn't been bad - we all know when we have been naughty eating what we shouldn't and I had had a good dieting week. I was so cheesed off I came home and had a glass of red wine - first one for about 8 months and boy did it taste good. I think I better explain I stopped drinking when I started dieting not because I had a problem - (I felt that alcohol was just dead calories).

Ah well tomorrow is another dieting day. Bye for now

Really Wet Sunday!!

I don't know what the weather has been like where you live but it has been awful here in north west Lancashire. It has been raining hard all day with really gusty winds - not fit to put a dog out or a cat but not our cat who has been out in it most of the day - I think Max is part Turkish Water Cat he doesn't bother about getting wet but he does like me to towel him down when he comes in and almost brings me the towel to do it. It's really funny to watch him - he dances about by the radiator in the kitchen (where his towel is kept)until I pick it up and then jumps up onto the worktop purring his head off. Crazy cat.

Anyway I decided I was going to have a day in the craft room and finally managed to clear all my outstanding ATC books for UKSN - they will be off in the post tomorrow. I also managed to complete the following card for a new challenge that has started this week on Less is More Blog the theme this week is White/Pink/Black which is a super colour combination and I would also like to enter If the Shoe Fits ... Challenge ...Pink.

I also completed a few ATCs. I really like the orange/red one I think the grass stamp is very elegant (it's a Fred Mullett Stamp - he does the most amazing range of stamps) I just love using them. I would like to enter this ATC in the Corrosive Challenge Blog which is Red/Orange/Yellow.

This ATC just sort of happened I made the background paper with my trusty brayer about 9 months ago and today it just fit the bill. I have put loads of stickles on it but my poor little camera can't really pick it up. I would like to enter this in Our Creative Corner Challenge which is Tree Image CAS.

That's all for now bye.

Back on Line.

Have you missed me? I'm sorry I haven't posted anything since last week but I haven't been too well - the sore throat turned into a nasty chest infection which I couldn't throw off - even now I have a terrible cough which sounds like I smoke 20 a day (I gave up smoking over 20 years ago).

The postman brought me a lovely package today - the blog candy I won from Lisa arrived and I'm so chuffed. The Score-Pal is great I can see it becoming a favourite crafting tool and the Magnolia stamps are super (Lisa even included a lovely Magnolia Mini stamp as a little extra). How lucky am I:-))

I finally got back into the craft room only to find my mojo had done a runner even with my new stamps to play with! I did manage to produce a couple of ATCs but I still have to photo them - the daylight had gone by the time they were finished.

I have a couple of cards to make tomorrow so I'll be back then and hopefully I will feel inspired. See you then.
