Wings & things ATC

Hi All - Here is one of the ATCs made this weekend with the great TSV Tim Holtz mini Stamps that I got a few weeks ago I find them so easy to work with and the images are so clear even with my heavy hands!

I would like to enter this in the Sunday Stamper Challengee Wind beneath my Wings over on Hels' Blog

Busy Doing Nothing

Hi All

I hope you had a glorious Easter Weekend - wasn't the weather amazing just like high summer (I do hope this isn't all we are going to get). We have both the swallows back now and they are busy repairing the nest from last year these are the ones that made Max the cat's life hell all last summer once the baby birds were born.

I'm off work this week and really enjoying my time at home - I spent most of yesterday catching up with my ATC swaps and I'm off to the post office to post them out. I have taken photos but just haven't downloaded them yet. It's on my list of things to do but I better show willing and go and hang the washing out while the sun is still shining.

Oh Happy Day

I hope you all have a had a great start to the Easter Bank holiday. The sun has shone all day here in the North West and it has been really hot. I just enjoyed not having to go to work and I'm now off until the 3rd May - wonderful. I had a very traumatic incident on Wednesday leaving work - I got stuck in the lift and I thought I was going to be in it all night - nearly everybody had gone home and I was in there for three quarters of an hour before the cleaners heard my shouting and found someone to come and help. Fortunately I'm not bothered about confined spaces but it is not something I want to repeat in a hurry - why couldn't have happened on my way in to work on their time:-)

I have finally got new batteries for my camera and here are a couple of pictures of the ATC's I made recently - I want to apologise for the poor quality (I really need a new camera) and want to enter them in Hel,s 'All you need is Love Challenge'

Another Lovely Weekend.

Hasn't the weekend been another cracker, the sun has shone, the birds have been tweeting and the countryside is really starting to look really green. We had a lovely run out to a local garden centre that specialises in Koi carp. I couldn't believe the price of the fish - up to £2500. I could just imagine Max the Cat trying to fish that out of the pool and I had this picture in my head of him trying and I set of giggling to myself - Baz thought I had finally flipped;-) We hadn't gone to buy any fish we had gone to find a waterlily (we don't have a pond but we do have a half a large barrel in which we have a 'wet garden') but the selection was a poor and very expensive - la bit like the fish so we didn't buy anything. We ended up at the ice cream shop and enjoyed my current favourite Eton Mess ice cream. Mmmmm lovely.

I actually made a whole selection of ATC's today when we got home but when I switched my camera on I realised the batteries were dead and I didn't have anymore so everything remains on hold until I get some. So I'm posting a card I made a couple of weeks ago when I was in 'Rabbit Mode' - I still love this Penny Black Stamp of the bunnies in their plant pots - so cute.

The Cat's Out!

What a fabulous weekend - the sun has shone and it was really warm just like a summer's day. I have seen a couple of swallows and I know one swallow doesn't make a summer but perhaps two does!

Talking about flying visitors - We had a flying visit from son number 2 this weekend - it was lovely to see him as he hasn't been home since before Christmas.
I managed to catch up on a lot of overdue letters and spent a couple of hours in the craft room making a birthday card without the hint of a rabbit on it anywhere but lots and lots of kitty cats.

I also had a little play with my new Marianne Rose Die and I think I'm getting the hang of it although at first I couldn't get the glue to hold the middle of the rose but I managed and here is the result. I'm sure I'll get better with a bit more practice.

Rabbits, Rabbits Everywhere

I can't get away from my rabbit stamp - seems to be living on my desk where it's close to hand but I have quite a few Easter cards to make to send to the US and it has come in very useful- I'm sure it will be used again before it is packed away. I'm really into yellow and green as I think it is very spring-like and cheerful just like a daffodil.

I would like to enter this Easter card into the following challenges:-

The Pink Elephant - Easter

That's all for now - Bye

Another Pesky Rabbit!

This morning started off really gray and rainy, not a day for doing anything much but I spent an hour in my craft room and messed about with my TH mini rosette die - I'm so in love with this die the rosettes are so sweet and really take the mystery out of making a good rosette. Bazzer decided we should go and do the weekly shop so off we went to ASDA and joined in the bunfight. OMG I think everybody else had decided to go as well - it was murder but we survived.

When we came out the clouds had rolled away and the sun had come out and the whole world looked much more cheerful. When Bazzer suggested a trip to our favourite ice-cream place I agreed and even offered to pay (I was feeling generous). we have a local farm that makes the most amazing ice-cream in about 30 different flavours and my problem comes when I have to decide what flavour to have (making decisions is not one of my strong points. Any way I choose the most amazing flavour - Eton Mess and it was so yummy, creamy vanilla ice-cream, lots of strawberry ripple with lovely crunchy meringue mixed running through it. Wonderful.

I finished this Mother's Day for Barry's Mum and I used the wonderful Bunny Penny Black stamp again coloured in with Copic pens, I used the mini rosette die and nesties. I loved making this card it was one of those that just fell into place and flowed.
