Butterflies

Well it's weekend again and another week has flown by. I must be the worst Blogger in the world I hadn't realised how long it was since I last posted. My only excuse is that there is such a lot going on at the moment - work has been so busy I have been shattered when I got home the last thing I want to do is sit at my computer for another hour.

Barry has just bought me a new phone which gives me internet access so perhaps I might be able to blog a bit more when I have found out how to do it lol. Me and technology are very uneasy bedfellows!!!!

I managed to fit a class in at Kendal Paper Warehouse a couple of weeks ago and we made 3 cards - 2 Christmas ones and a Birthday Card. Included in the cost of the class was a set of Martha Stewart Stamps which weren't Christmassy but I will show you in another post how we used them as I still haven't photo'd them. The birthday card was very similar to the card below that I made for my sister's birthday and I used my new Tonic Edger system to cut the front borders and the words are done on the computer. The butterflies are from the Martha Stewart stamps and the background paper came from my stash (it nearly broke my heart using it I hate cutting into a new sheet - I'm very much a paper stroker!)

I'm sorry the phots are so pants but I can't make my mind us as to what new camera to buy. Anybody got any advice?

The overall effect is quite pretty and a big thank you to Barbara at Kendal for the idea

I off to do the weekly shop before it gets too busy.

Sunday Sweet Sunday

Up with the lark this morning all showered and ready to watch Barbara Gray on Create & craft at 10am.

I had a great day yesterday ay the Stitch and Create Show at Manchester yesterday. I haven't been able to go to a show for several years now because of my bad hip but dear old Bazzer hired me a shopping scooter for the day - he also rechristened me Madge (we are great fans of Benidorm on tv) and sent me on my way. It was fab I really enjoyed it but I would like to apologise to anyone I may have run into - I should have had L plates for the first half hour.

I spent far too much money but came away with a great stash and something new to play with - a book on Fabric Fusion and a mini soldering iron. I watched a fab textile artist called Margaret using this little tool to create some of the most amazing art work I have seen for a long time. I can't just remember her last name but I will post her details later.

Off to tackle a mountain of ironing first while watching to see what Barbara is up to today.

Later
